PLN / PTPerusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) adalah
perusahaan milik negara terbesar di Indonesia yang menangani pelayanan tenaga
listrik seluruh wilayah di Indonesia dan berkantor pusat di Jakarta. PLN adalah
sepenuhnya dimiliki oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia melalui Menteri Negara
SoE. Sekarang Direktur Utamanya adalah Nur Pamudji, menggantikan Dahlan Iskan
yangsekarang di lantik menjadi menteri BUMN. PLN memiliki 47 unit bisnis
nasional, yang terdiri dari 6 unit di wilayah operasi Jawa Bali, 9 unit di wilayah
operasi Indonesia Barat, 8 unit di wilayah operasi Indonesia Timur, 6 unit di
daerah operasi jasa, 12 proyek induk unit (UIP) dan 6 unit di PLN Generations
(KIT). PT PLN juga didukung oleh 12 anak perusahaan yang dimiliki secara
langsung. Berdasarkan Laporan Keuangan Konsolidasi 2012 PT
PLN(Persero),
Perseroan mencatat hasil yang sangat baik. Total aset PLN mengalami pertumbuhan
sebesar 15,58% menjadi Rp540, 70 triliun yang pada tahun sebelumnya sebesar
Rp467, 78 triliun .
